Why You Need to Choose Interior Designers Over Salesmen
If you are revamping just one room of your home or all of it, it is a big decision and an important project. What could be more important than creating the perfect space for you and your family to relax and make memories in? The order of your home has a direct impact on your daily wellbeing and the interior design plays a crucial role in creating the ambience of each room.
In today’s hectic world, where the pace of life is constantly increasing, more people are being affected by stress. Adults are expected to work longer hours and balance more responsibilities at work and at home, which can soon become too much to cope with. The constant use of technology, which is now vital to our day to day lives, can also have a negative impact on relaxation and sleep.
The stresses of day to day life need a place to leave the body and the mind – and that calm space should be in your home. As your sanctuary, your home needs to make you feel safe, welcome and calm – and the interior design of your home plays a greater part than you may think. In today’s society it is really important to have a calming space where you can unwind and forget about the stresses and strains of life.
That’s why we work in conjunction with Helen Sanderson, an interior designer with specialisms in quiet rooms and de-cluttering services. She creates calming spaces for commercial and domestic clients and can help anyone achieve a serene home. Designing an uplifting environment can be difficult, especially when your home is overrun with clutter – that is the first step. A room filled with belongings – many of which have no purpose – will make your home a stressful place rather than a relaxing environment.
Helen says, “It can be hard to feel happy and energised when you’re surrounded and overwhelmed by ‘stuff ’. If you’re drowning in clutter, at a loss trying to find things, stressed out or ashamed by your living space, we can help you.”
Passion for Interiors
Here at Empatika we are truly inspired by wonderful interiors, and want to create interesting and calm spaces for our clients. We’ve learnt a lot from Helen’s ethos of promoting calm, tranquil spaces and reducing the amount of clutter in rooms. As fitted furniture designers, we often find that homeowners choose to buy custom furniture as a storage solution – which can then get overrun with memorabilia and clutter and ruin the beauty of the design.
We don’t just build the bookcase or media unit and leave when the job is done – we work with homeowners every step of the way, which includes putting the finishing touches onto each piece. We can advise clients where to put their belongings on the shelves for the optimum effect – whether it is a practical decision or a creative idea to make it look more appealing. We want to see the final results of our work, and how wonderful the furniture looks in use and compliments the décor. We want our clients to get the most out of their new contemporary furniture – which is why we will advise against and shelves.
We also help with the interior design of your room from the word go, at the design stage. We’ve been in the business of interiors for over a decade, we stay on top of the trends and love sharing our ideas and suggesting creative ways to decorate and furnish your home. We genuinely take an interest in our clients’ homes and want homeowners to achieve their décor dreams. We love helping to transform spaces, so if you want free expert advice on the rest of the room or your entire home, we will gladly get involved and hopefully inspire you to make the most of your space.
We are not Salesmen
In the spirit of making sure your home’s interiors is our top priority, we will never try to upsell you a piece of furniture. We strive to create bespoke furniture which will fit perfectly into a space and compliment what is going on around it – we won’t force you to choose a specific piece we want to make. For example, if you have two ideas in mind and can’t decide which would look best in the room, we won’t automatically suggest the most expensive option! We really listen and provide an honest service, so won’t sell you anything which we don’t think will fit the essence of your home, or the look you are trying to achieve.
Many other fitted furniture companies are run by salesmen rather than designers – design is always at the heart of every project Empatika takes on. Contact us for examples of the huge range of furniture designs and interiors we have created.
