Large U shaped bookcase with random lights

About this project

This bookcase is built on three walls, two of them don’t touch the floor and are suspended purely from the wall, they have lights shining down under them towards the floor which makes them look like they are floating. Inside the bookcase are random compartments with lights to highlight certain objects. Although I call them random squares, their quantity and placement is very much calculated and a skill I pride myself on being able to do, my background in photography and composition helps with this and I get great satisfaction in creating balance out of chaos. The lights are controlled via the main control panel near the door to make them easy to control, and there is three zones, below the bookcase, inside and there are lights on top shining towards the ceiling, so you can choose the mood and quantity of light you would like. This bookcase was built from scratch in a house in St Johns Wood.
